Red Bull Media House is hiring a data engineer to develop pipelines, quality tests, and dashboards for our global apps team. In this role you will automate monitoring the user behavioral data we capture from our apps and website for consistency and accuracy. You will also support configuration and administration of streaming data ingest pipelines using Segment, a third-party customer data platform. Finally, you will use visualization technology such as Google Data Studio to help us measure KPIs related to launches and A/B tests of various features on our digital platforms.
Ideal candidates pay strong attention to detail, are quick to spot patterns, and are by nature fixated on data quality and consistency. In addition, they are aware of best practices for both query optimization and data visualization and can summarize and organize data effectively.
3+ years using advanced SQL with cloud-based, columnar analytics warehouses such as BigQuery or Amazon Redshift
2+ years with the python data stack: pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, Jupyter
Hands-on experience using Docker containers and serverless cloud services for running containerized jobs
Hands-on experience using Google Data Studio or similar visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
Familiarity with Google Analytics 360 and its BigQuery export schema
Familiarity with Segment and/or other CDPs
Some experience with streaming data technologies such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub
Exposure to parallel processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Beam
Basic understanding of statistics & hypothesis testing
