Foodpairing offers an AI platform for food product development to develop better products faster. This platform is also known as CFI (Consumer Flavor Intelligence) and is used by some of the major food companies in the world.
Foodpairing seeks a Data Scientist interested in recommendation systems. In this role you will work to improve the current liking predictions using our FlavorIDⓇ technology. You will play a strategic role in the innovation, research and development of Foodpairing’s technologies for personalized food recommendations and Consumer Flavor Intelligence (CFI). You will work in a multidisciplinary team with data scientists, chefs, food scientists, and data engineers using some of the newest machine learning technologies to generate successful new food products.
Reporting within the Platform team, the Data Scientist is responsible to improve the accuracy of the liking predictions and recipe recommendations systems.

Your skills and experience
A MS degree (Engineering, Physics, Informatics, Computer Sciences,...)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
You have experience with Python and SQL database technologies.
You have experience with industry-standard python packages like numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, pandas, keras or pyTorch, matplotlib/plotly.
You have experience in algorithm development
You have knowledge in statistics (parametric and non-parametric tests, regression techniques)
You also have experience in training and validation of machine learning models.
Ability to build strong trusted working relationships and rapport at all levels & demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
Bonus points for:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Azure or AWS.
Experience with industry standard SQL or noSQl database technologies.
Experience with version control software tools, e.g. git.
Experience in software and algorithm development
