Do you want to shape the vision of noimos from a Data Engineer’s perspective? Side by side with your new colleagues you will design and jointly develop the data architecture/data lake, ensuring scalability, security and maintenance.
Your new mission looks like this:
- You collaborate with the Product Owner and other business stakeholders to understand business needs, and design fit-for-purpose solutions from a DE perspective.
- You build highly available and scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources for specific analytical solutions.
- You monitor and ensure the correct functioning of the data pipelines.
- Furthermore, you support the integration into customer systems as well as the setup of APIs for external data providers (e.g. based on REST/SOAP), incl. knowledge of text processing (parsing, etc.).
- You manage the further development of the analytical layer, including privacy needs.
- You also identify gaps and implement solutions for data security, quality and automation of processes.
- You further extend the existing infrastructure and implement new components in Terraform.
- You support on dashboard creation and data analysis.

- Various (non-)relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, BigQuery) & dbt; Cloud Storage
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Python and computer vision libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, OpenCV, scikit-image, PyTorch)
- Other: Docker, GitHub Actions
To be the perfect candidate for this role, you should have
- You have 5+ years of experience with data engineering, ideally with a BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
- You have strong Software Engineering skills and extensive experience with Python.
- You enrich our team with experience in Cloud Engineering, particularly Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- You have experience building maintainable APIs with 3rd-party providers based on REST/SOAP.
- You are familiar with data management techniques, DQ validation frameworks, data modelling, data pipeline orchestration and distributed processing of data.
- You have in-depth knowledge in CI/CD, especially with GitHub Actions.
- Ideally, you are proficient at using GCP with a strong focus on Cloud Run, Cloud Functions and BigQuery.
- You are able to write clean code and documentation, optimize code, and reduce infrastructure cost.
- You enjoy collaborating in a diverse environment, and developing fit-for-purpose solutions together with PO’s, ML Engineers and other developers.
- You’re working in a startup spirit (all hands on deck / MVP thinking).
- You are proficient in English, German is a plus.
